The department research theme is Institutional organization and functioning of public administration and management during the implementation of reforms and European integration.

Faculty:

Oleh Lazor, Doctor of Public Administration, Professo,. Research interests: Public administration and management, public administration and local self-government, public service, environmental policy, environmental assessment, environmental law, constitutional and administrative law, international experience in these areas. Courses taught: Reforms in Ukraine; Organizational Principles of Public Administration in Ukraine; Management of Public Organizations; Introduction to Public Administration.

Oksana Lazor, Doctor of Public Administration, Professor. Research interests: Public administration and management; territorial organization of government; local self-government; public service; gender relations and gender politics in society; international experience in these areas. Courses taught: Territorial Organization of Government in Ukraine during Public Administration Reform; Public Management and Decentralization in Europe; Administrative Management; Methodology and Organization of Scientific Research; Territorial Governance in Ukraine during reform.

Volodymyr Baryshnikov, PhD in Technical Sciences, Docent (Associate Professor), Professor of the Department of Public Administration and Management. Research interests: Prevention of corruption in public administration authorities. Courses taught: Organization of Public Officials' Performance Management; Personnel Policy and Public Service.

Kateryna Mischenko, PhD in Public Administration, Docent (Associate Professor). Research interests: Modernization of mechanisms for public administration in the sphere of social protection and social services for vulnerable groups; issues of implementation of new public management in the State Employment Service; search for new models of communication interaction of the State Employment Service with social partners and other civil society actors; management of social services. Courses taught: Public Administration; Theoretical Foundations of Social Protection of Vulnerable Groups; Communication in Public Administration.

Nataliia Sier'ohina, PhD in Law, Docent (Associate Professor). Research interests: Legal aspects of functioning of the state employment service. Courses taught: Jurisprudence; Contract Law; Legal Framework of Social Work; State Social Insurance; Law, Constitution and Governance; Introduction to European Law.
